My Perfect Size 8

or - Conversations With An 8-Year-Old

Here are Grandma and Granddaughter taking time out in the park to enjoy some conversation and ice cream.  Being Gramma means never having to say "None for me, I'm on a diet."

Hand sculpted entirely from polymer clay over wire & foil armatures, Grandma is permanently attached to the park bench (as are some of the people I know...).  The granddaughter is not - who ever heard of an 8-year-old who could sit in one place for long? 

They don't seem to have noticed the snail on the sidewalk or the rabbit hiding behind the bench.  The wooden base measures approximately 4"x6" and is stained with a mahogony & polyeurathane finish.  The bottom of the base has been covered with felt to protect shelving & furniture.
